Nothing says good morning and welcome to South Carolina like looking out of your window at 7 am and seeing a group of dolphins swimming in the ocean. They were in the distance but still very visible. Our excitement over the dolphins overcame any bit of sleepiness we had. We had drug testing today which is required to take and pass in order to work for Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart is going to be where I spend a huge chunk of my time here on project. We work 40 hours a week. This is my first job so I am pretty excited to see what it will be like. The drug testing required a lot of patience because about 70 other people on project had to do the same thing on the same day. So we waited for four hours in this waiting room with little space and a lot of people. It was fun to see all the different conversations go on between all of us because none of us knew each other so our conversations consisted of all the typical questions like what is your name, major, and hometown… ect. We did things to entertain ourselves. Luckily someone brought catch phrase. We also invented a game with paper cups and I random tennis ball. We set up cups in the middle of two people sitting in chairs across from each other and you had to bounce the tennis ball in the cup you called. Whoever had the most won! We found out through conversations with people that it was national doughnut day so we decided we would hit up the nearest krispe kreme and dunkin donuts when we finished with the drug testing. Well by the time we were finished it was 2 o clock and we were all starving so we were pretty stoked about our doughnuts!!! We also decided to treat ourselves and indulge in some ice cream at a shop called Yum Yum just down the street a few blocks away. All of my roommates went and chose the same flavor of ice cream called yellow cake batter with cookie dough chunks in it. It was very yummy hence the name of the ice cream shop! Believe it or not Midwest summers are actually hotter than here. It is the perfect weather here everyday!!!!!
